End-to-end digital health platform
A mobile and cloud platform deployed for global pharmaceutical customers
I owned the product and technical delivery across native iOS and Android applications, a GCP backend and customer-facing data services.
I gathered requirements directly from end users and customers, including five of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, designed the solution, led the team and built the core system hands-on.

Agentic AI application
A personalized AI conversation system built on 40+ LangGraph nodes
I designed and built the complete AI backend and agent architecture for a psychology-informed conversation platform, including its APIs, data model, memory, authentication, prompts, deployment and evaluation systems.
Each message is processed through specialized nodes that analyse content, detect safety-critical situations, manage the conversation lifecycle and map the interaction to 50+ tracked psychological domains before generating the next response.

How I See It
AI changes where human value is created.
I do not believe the biggest change is that people will complete the same work faster. As AI takes on more execution, our work moves toward defining intent, making decisions, designing the environment and owning the outcome.
The real opportunity is to redesign how people, software and AI work together. Not simply attach AI to the process we already have.

About Me

The software engineering depth behind the AI work.
I’m Teemu Piirainen, a hands-on senior software engineer and AI engineer based in Espoo, Finland.
My work spans mobile, backend, cloud and production AI systems. Having run my own software consultancy since 2004, I have learned to connect customer needs and commercial reality with hands-on engineering, architecture and production responsibility.
I also speak and train on AI adoption and Lean delivery, work I have done as a keynote speaker and freelance trainer for over ten years.
